The City of Carrollton’s Minor Home Repair Program is funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). These funds are awarded to the City of Carrollton by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This program is designed to improve the sustainability of Carrollton and make the homes of those needing assistance safer and healthier.
The Minor Exterior Home Repair Program is to provide assistance to low-to-moderate income homeowners to make essential repairs when owner-occupant lacks sufficient resources of their own. Through this program the homeowner can get assistance with repairs that can be completed for $5,000 or less.
Eligible projects will potentially include:
- Fence repairs
- Graffiti removal
- Walkway repair
Projects ineligible for assistance include:
- Indoor repairs
- Structural repairs (such as rebuilding a porch)
- Cosmetic repairs (repainting a home to a new color)
Applicant Information
Minor Home Repair Program assists Carrollton’s residents meet the exterior maintenance needs of their homes. Homeowners will be required to provide proof of income to qualify for assistance.
Eligible projects may include:
- Fence repairs
- Graffiti removal
- Walkway repair
Applicant eligibility requirements (each case will be evaluated):
- Must meet income requirements
- Must live in the City of Carrollton
- Must use home as primary residence
- Must appear on title of home
